About our school

Carcoar Public School will be celebrating its sesquicentenary in March 2007.

All former and current members of the school community are warmly invited to attend and celebrate 150 years of public education in Carcoar.

Carcoar Public School is strongly committed to working collaboratively with staff, colleagues and district consultants to develop and implement effective learning programs for all students in a safe environment.

The school has a strong commitment to the development of literacy and numeracy programs through its involvement with the Disadvantaged Schools Program (DSP) and the Early Learning Initiative (ELI).

Parents continue to be involved in the decision-making, planning and budgeting. The school and wider community feel a sense of ownership and a strong partnership has been developed. Students are engaged in their learning and are expected to take responsibility for their own actions and behaviours.

Assessment and reporting is a main focus area and is used to inform staff, parents and students on learning and future directions.
